If you are coming from either of the above directions, it is essential that you drive through 100 Mile House, and do not take the gravel road to Canim Lake which is found on Highway 24. The Canim Lake turn off is located along Highway 97 on the right hand side, 3 kilometers north of the Village of 100 Mile House and the paved road continues on for 40 kilometers through Forest Grove before reaching Canim Lake.

Train:

If you plan on travelling by train, your journey begins in North Vancouver via BC Rail. If you choose this route, you travel through Whistler, Pemberton and Lillooet, ending up at Exeter Station in 100 Mile House. This truly is a delightful scenic adventure whether it is done in the summer or the winter. This journey takes approximately 9 hours.

When choosing this option, it is advisable for you to rent a car in 100 Mile House before leaving Vancouver. It will be necessary for you to take a taxi from Exeter Station to the car rental place in 100 Mile House.
